A trip from Pokhara to Muktinath is a fantastic journey through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal. Muktinath is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists, known for its stunning scenery and spiritual significance. Here’s a day-wise itinerary for your road trip:

Day 1: Pokhara to Jomsom

On the first day of your journey, set out from Pokhara bright and early. Your route will take you to Jomsom, a journey spanning approximately 7 to 9 hours, depending on road conditions. Upon reaching Jomsom, check into your hotel, freshen up, and unwind for the evening. Take some time to explore Jomsom and its surroundings, including a visit to the local market, all while soaking in the serene atmosphere.

Day 2: Jomsom to Muktinath

On the second day, begin with an early breakfast and prepare for your expedition to Muktinath. The drive from Jomsom to Muktinath takes about 1 to 2 hours by road. Once you arrive in Muktinath, visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, exploring its premises and immersing yourself in the spiritual ambiance. After your temple visit, explore the nearby Jwala Mai Temple and Mharme Lha Khang Gompa. Later in the afternoon, return to Jomsom, where you can either continue exploring the town or simply relax.

Day 3: Jomsom to Pokhara

Start your day in Jomsom with a pleasant breakfast. Then, embark on your journey back to Pokhara, which may take another 7 to 9 hours. As you travel, make stops in charming towns and villages such as Marpha and Tukuche. Take the opportunity to visit points of interest, like the apple orchards in Marpha, savor the stunning scenery, and perhaps sample some local apple products. Continue your drive to Pokhara and check back into your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a stroll along Lakeside Pokhara and savor a relaxing meal by the tranquil Phewa Lake.

Day 4: Explore Pokhara

After the long road trip, take a day to unwind and explore the enchanting city of Pokhara. Start your day with a visit to Phewa Lake, where you can rent a boat or enjoy a peaceful lakeside walk. Head to the World Peace Pagoda, which offers panoramic views of the Annapurna Range. Explore the Gupteshwor Cave and Davis Falls, two of Pokhara’s renowned attractions. In the evening, explore the local markets and immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife of Lakeside.

Day 5: Departure

On your final day, savor your last breakfast in Pokhara. Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or additional sightseeing. Bid farewell to Pokhara and set off for your next destination, or opt to extend your stay in this lovely city if you have more time to spare.
