Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, you will check in at your designated hotel, providing an opportunity to relax after your journey. If you’re feeling inclined, you can also embark on exploration of some of Kathmandu’s cultural and historical sites, such as the renowned Swayambhunath Stupa or Durbar Square.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Bardiya National Park

The day commences with a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. From there, a 2-3 hour drive takes you to the enchanting Bardiya National Park, where you’ll check in at your lodge located near the park. As the evening approaches, you can enjoy a cultural program or an orientation session that acquaints you with the park’s unique features.

Day 3: Bardiya National Park – Jungle Activities

Your day kicks off with a morning jungle walk, allowing you to immerse yourself in the diverse flora and fauna of the park. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a thrilling jungle jeep safari, offering opportunities to spot remarkable wildlife, including tigers, rhinoceros, and elephants. As evening descends, you’ll return to your lodge for relaxation and reflection.

Day 4: Bardiya National Park – Elephant Safari

The day begins with a morning elephant-back safari, providing a unique perspective on the park’s wildlife. You’ll also have the chance to visit the Bardiya Crocodile Breeding Center. In the afternoon, you’ll take to the waters, embarking on a canoeing adventure along the Geruwa River to observe crocodiles, birds, and other aquatic life. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your lodge to rest and rejuvenate.

Day 5: Bardiya National Park – Bird Watching

Today is dedicated to birdwatching in the park, as Bardiya is home to a multitude of bird species. You’ll also visit the Karnali River for an opportunity to spot the rare Gangetic dolphin. The evening is yours to either unwind or partake in cultural programs at your lodge.

Day 6: Bardiya National Park – Local Village Visit

Embark on a guided tour to a nearby Tharu village, where you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the local culture and way of life. Participate in traditional activities and engage with the Tharu community, fostering an enriching cultural exchange. You’ll return to your lodge for a serene evening.

Day 7: Bardiya National Park to Kathmandu

The morning offers free time for personal exploration or relaxation. Following this, you’ll check out from your lodge and journey back to Nepalgunj. From there, you’ll catch a return flight to Kathmandu. As you conclude your adventure, you’ll enjoy your last evening in Kathmandu, including a farewell dinner and an opportunity for souvenir shopping.

Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or additional sightseeing in Kathmandu. When the time comes, you’ll depart for your home country or your next destination, concluding your memorable journey.
